So I bring up "witches" for this reason…the original Daughters of the King show up in Nouvelle-France in the 1660s/1670s, right? And then let's just say that more than a few of these Quebecoises/Acadiennes filter down into New England–Maine first, yes–but what if they made it to Massachusetts too? And magically, in the 1690s, we get Witch Trials in Salem? I dunno, I'm just spitballing, but it hit me as no coincidence tonight.
