The whole point is confusion.
Even within the cult of satanism they don't agree on what they believe.
Some are in essence edgy/gothy atheists others really do worship Satan.
And within biblical scholars there is also disagreement about whether Lucifer and Satan is one and the same. So yeah…
I think Satanism is the layman's term in general, where as you sound a little more educated if you say Luciferianism.
