Master = Lucifer.
Speculation, but hopefully logical thinking:
All of these people worship Lucifer.
Eventually you run out of worshipers and wind up at the object of that worship.
This is bigger than ANYONE can imagine.
This is not a game.
Every last one of these people BELIEVE in Lucifer.
They WORSHIP Lucifer.
To them, he is real.
Whether you believe he is is not germane.
Humbly, I would suggest that it seems logical to conclude that the beast that they worship is "The Master."
