BERKELEY, Calif. (KGO) – Police are asking people to stay away from building on U.C. Berkeley after reports of a sighting or a person with a gun.
People are asked to stay away from the area of MLK and Cesar Chavez Buildings until further notice.
A student told ABC7 News they were being evacuated from the campus.
The suspect was sighted near the Martin Luther King Jr. and Cesar Chavez student buildings in Lower Sproul Plaza. Police sent an alert about the sighting to students at 11:50 a.m. UC Berkeley officials said on Twitter at 12:03 p.m. that both buildings are currently on lockdown.
Police searched the buildings but did not find anyone matching the description.

FACT SHEET: Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center
Today, the President directed the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) to establish the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center (CTIIC). The CTIIC will be a national intelligence center focused on “connecting the dots” regarding malicious foreign cyber threats to the nation and cyber incidents affecting U.S. national interests, and on providing all-source analysis of threats to U.S. policymakers. The CTIIC will also assist relevant departments and agencies in their efforts to identify, investigate, and mitigate those threats.
