unlikely. If they are its only a bare minimum. If thats the case I expect they wanted to know who you were for their own curiosity.
Much more likely though that its SOP to get a name. Doesnt exactly sound normal either to have an "old friend" who lives many miles away ask them to do a wellness check over some tinfoil video on youtube.
