I can't source this other than through recollection. The message board where it was held vanished a while back. If the Payseurs owned the railroads, and it was rumored that Washington Mutual, aka Washington National back in the Territory days, held interests in railways back from that time and with acquisitions from other banks. It would answer a number of questions if wamu got done in to consolidate all railroads (rr) with one group.
