Disclosure at ANY cost, though? Assuming US crimes are terrible enough, full disclosure would force multiple foreign nations to storm our border, launch missiles at our people, declare all-out war. Who are you to deal death for disclosure?
Except with international politics, there are no individuals. Only nations. Even though bad actors were pulling the levers, the victim nations will view the entire US as the "serial killer" and we must all die for it. I value both truth AND life, but if forced to choose, I choose life.
