The spacing of the missing lines is precisely 2 line widths, although the box covering these supposed lines is less thick.
The lines are as near as can be told perfectly parallel with the other lines on the phone.
The colour of the box covering the lines is the exact same colour as the new message background above.
Overall I am not totally sure lines are covered up, it might be a case of it being a separate message, albeit I don't have an iphone, but someone with an iphone could maybe look into is it could just be the break between 2 messages.
Although the sentence fragments in the lines before and after just make it look like lines worth covering up, were redacted.
Do you have an iphone, can you demonstrate and take a photo of that for comparison purposes?
It is enough of a gap for 2 lines, I checked that myself and it's pixel perfect.
But the grey bar is too small to cover 2 lines, which is curious.
If anyone has such a phone they should see what happens if you compose 2 consecutive messages, can it look like that?
