I had an alarm set to go sit on my roof and watch it/them arc on by.
Didn't know what the significance of the satellites being brought down was, tho.
Writers tend to have numerous treasures troves of all kinds of information, because writers are also researchers!
I'm not a genius, but I do have an APP FOR THAT! (Ha - sorry. It's a star gazing app.)
Anyway, it sent a "Here's something to watch for" notification a few days ago.
Sorry - I should have said that I didn't know what the satellites being brought down were, other than being satellites.
That's how I interpret thing situation, as well.

Oh! Why not enroll in a history class or two at a nearby community college? I know, I know - here's the thing, tho: It can give you a sense of direction about where to really start looking.
Or: Formulate a specific question and call the reference librarians at your local library! These people are possibly one of the most under utilized resources. They may even be able to give you additional and related books, etc.
