My wife is TV crazy (wish I'd known that before we got married) and now we have 3 tv's in the house. One is mine and is perpetually tuned to Fox News. Only because I'm hard of hearing and FOX has good captioning.
If wife left I would get rid of all the TV's in the house.

I've had dialup internet for many years.
Now I have cable internet and had it for a long time without cable TV. It was $40 more for cable tv and made the wife happy so what ever.
