what if, perhaps, the reported solar flare was responsible for the knockout of satellites? I kind of doubt "disabling" them in a manner that would endanger lives would be a whitehat move, as the re-entry and impact locations would only be controllable to a degree by foreknowledge of impending flare likely disabling satellites communications and/or automated orbit decay correctional programming and rerouting satellites to a location before flare arrival so as to control the re-entry effectively enough to allow for re-entry probabilities to be over sea and not land. Would be the move I personally would take, as land impact not only endangers lives, but leaves possibility for retrieval of tech by unwanted eyes. Just spitballing here anons.
