Would it be easier to just bulldoze a path that has already been cleared by burning the area.
as opposed to buying up the land/houses and all. then clearing a path.

Why not burn a path as oppose to buying up the land/houses. let the government pay for the clearing a path for the bullet train.
You don't have to make deals with land owners for the price.
just get out the bulldozers and get to work clearing a path that has already been burnt to a crisp and half the work already done.
