California bullet train project. Just a CTA theory!!!

Why not burn a path as oppose to buying up the land/houses. let the government pay for the clearing a path for the bullet train.

You don't have to make deals with land owners for the price.

just get out the bulldozers and get to work clearing a path that has already been burnt to a crisp and half the work already done.

My guess would be –

Find the proposed path the Train is approved for and see how much of it has been burnt off.

I could be just way off base here. but it would cheapen the projected cost. probably by millions.
