Syrian Army Launches Large Offensive Against ISIS In Eastern Homs

During the first hours of the operation, warplanes of the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out a series of airstrikes on ISIS positions in the Homs desert. Later, the SAA and its allies attacked several positions of the terrorist group on the administrative border between the governorates of Homs and Deir Ezzor.

Local observers believe that more than 1,000 fighters and commanders of ISIS are currently hiding in the Homs desert, which lays between the eastern Homs countryside and the western Deir Ezzor countryside. These terrorists have launched several attacks on the SAA’s positions on the western bank of the Euphrates River since the beginning of this year.

ISIS fighters will not likely be able to hold their positions for a significant amount of time because there are no natural fortifications in the Homs desert.

Lavrov: The Syrian government has sovereign right over its territory

He pointed out that the Western countries prevented the arrival of representatives of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) to Syria to investigate allegations of the use of chemical weapons.

The Russian top diplomat said that Moscow has informed the United Nations and the OPCW with information on the use of chemical weapons, as it warned them to bear the responsibility of this provocation which had been used in a smilar way over the past two years.

UN Chief Sides with Aggressors in Syria

On August 29, a Guterres statement through his spokesman opposed Syrian efforts to liberate Idlib province from US-supported terrorists, saying:

“The Secretary-General urgently appeals to the Government of Syria and all parties to exercise restraint and to prioritize the protection of civilians.”

On Thursday, Syrian UN envoy Bashar al-Jaafari blasted his unacceptable bias, supporting aggressors in the country instead of denouncing them, saying:

“Here we are talking about our surprise with (Guterres’) statement aligning (his) position (with) those countries targeting my government and my country…and referring to the threats expressed by the delegates of the US, Britain and France.”

Jaafari accused these countries and their imperial partners with waging endless war on the Syrian Arab Republic, opposing restoration of peace and stability to the nation.

“The Syrian government (and) its allies (are) the only part(ies) implementing UN Security Council resolutions pertaining to combating terrorism. Nobody else is fighting ISIS (and other terrorists) in Syria but the Syrian army supported by our allies,” Jaafari stressed.

Trump 'Preparing Ground for Prosecution of Corrupt Deep State Actors' – Analyst

A battle royal is about to erupt, Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel told Sputnik, commenting on The Daily Caller's report that ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's private server was hacked. According to Ortel, the Clinton email case deserves further scrutiny despite the FBI's denial of the alleged intrusion.

The FBI has rebuked Donald Trump's tweet saying that Hillary Clinton's unsecured email servers were reportedly accessed by Chinese hackers; however, the agency has not yet clarified the point whether or not it had been informed by the Intelligence Community Inspector General about foreign intrusion of Clinton's private server back in 2015.

"An FBI spokeswoman refused to confirm if Intelligence Community Inspector General (ICIG) officials — including Frank Rucker, its chief investigator — briefed top bureau officials about evidence of penetration of Clinton's private server by a Chinese government intelligence operation," Richard Pollock, an investigative journalist with The Daily Caller, reported on August 29.

He broke the news about the alleged Chinese intrusion on August 27, citing two sources informed on the matter. According to The Daily Caller's interlocutors, a Chinese firm embedded a malicious code into Clinton's private server and gained access to virtually all ex-secretary of state emails, including top secret government documents.

Earlier, during a July hearing with FBI official Peter Strzok, Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas pointed out that the government watchdog had found that nearly all of Clinton's emails were send to a "foreign entity," adding that it was "unrelated to Russia." He further said that the ICIG presented the finding to FBI agent Strzok, but that the latter had apparently swept the valuable information under the rug.

Former Republican Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee called intelligence abuses within the FBI “disgusting,” on “Fox & Friends” Friday, and accused the agency of colluding with the Department of Justice to bring down President Donald Trump.

Huckabee said if those responsible aren’t held accountable, America will be lost.

“If somebody doesn’t hold them accountable for this, if we don’t unravel it and if some of those smug arrogant people sitting on the other networks this morning around their little tables, talking about the president and dismissing him — if they don’t open their eyes and see what’s happening, we’ve lost our country,” he declared. “I know that sounds mellow dramatic, but I’m telling you, it is that serious. It truly is.”

Huckabee also said oversight investigations have become purely partisan and claimed the GOP can’t rely on its Democratic counterparts to play fair, if Congress was asked to look into it.

“This is not like Watergate when Democrats and Republicans worked together to uncover things that were hurtful to the country,” he concluded. “These are people in the Democratic Party leadership that are only wanting to protect the Democrats and protect the people who conspired and covered up. And they don’t want to uncover criminal activity and that is a real threat.”

WALSH: There Is No Such Thing As 'Progressive' Christianity

We are hearing a lot about how the current controversy in the Catholic Church is ideological in nature. As the media has it, "conservative Catholics" are attacking the pope while "progressive Catholics" defend him against the evil assault. This is ridiculous for many reasons, starting with the fact that the controversy is about sex abuse and cover-ups. It's got nothing to do with ideology. But this framing of the issue stems from an even deeper falsehood — that such a thing as progressive Catholicism, or progressive Christianity, exists or can exist.

The "conservative vs. progressive" dichotomy is most often cited with regard to sexual morality and homosexuality in particular. We are told that defense of sexual morality and condemnation of the homosexual act is a "conservative" position. Across all the churches and denominations, it is said that those who promote chastity and believe in the sanctity of the marital covenant are "conservative Christians." "Progressive Christians," on the other hand, take a more open-minded view of these topics. The obvious implication is that a Christian might look at the issue and settle on either side of it. But this is not possible. There is no "other side" within Christianity. The issue is not up for debate.

There cannot be a conservative/liberal divide on the basic moral teachings of Christianity. There is only the Christian understanding vs. the non-Christian understanding. A person who accepts and defends the moral truths of the faith is not necessarily "conservative." He is just Christian. A person who rejects those truths is not a "liberal Christian." He is not Christian at all.

I am not at the moment interested in discussing whether Christianity is right about homosexuality or human sexuality in general. The point is simply that Christianity does have a teaching on the subject, and, if you wish to be Christian, you can't disagree with it. The Bible clearly condemns the homosexual act repeatedly, including in 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Romans 1:26-27, 1 Timothy 1:10, and all across the Old Testament, most notably in Leviticus and Genesis. And Jesus Christ is quoted in two Gospel accounts explicitly defining marriage. He teaches that marriage is when a "man" and "his wife" come together and "become one flesh." That is settled doctrine, right from the Son of Man Himself. It is not a liberal doctrine or a conservative doctrine. It is just truth. A Christian must accept that it is truth because it came from the One who Himself is Truth.

All in all, we are left with a clear, uncompromising, unmistakable consensus across both the Old and New Testament about the nature of marriage and the moral depravity of all unchaste sex acts, including the homosexual act. Every church for almost 2,000 years affirmed these teachings and no Christian theologian or thinker of any note found, or claimed to find, any "liberal" interpretation of the verses mentioned above. That is because no such interpretation can be found. We either affirm the Biblical view on this topic, or we throw the Bible out and Christianity with it. There is no option in between.

If you are a Christian with a "progressive" view of marriage and sexuality, then one of the following things must be the case:

1) You do not believe that the Bible is a reliable source for moral truth.

2) You do not believe what the Gospel says about Christ's own words.

3) You believe that Jesus was a man of His time who lacked a full understanding of marriage and sexuality.

If you have any of those opinions then the good news is that a lot of people agree with you. In fact, you have the same opinion of Scripture, Christian teaching, and Jesus Christ that all non-Christians do. You believe them to be unreliable, fallible, and entirely human. The bad news is that none of those opinions are even slightly compatible with Christianity. You cannot retain your Christian faith while questioning the divinity of Christ and the legitimacy of Scripture.

There may be a real conservative/liberal split when it comes to lesser matters. For instance, conservatives tend to favor more reverent and traditional worship styles while liberals favor modernized and secularized varieties. On this issue, we, as Christians, may take the liberal or conservative stance and have a discussion about it (though the liberal stance is wrong here as well). But there is no debate to be had about the fundamental moral teachings of the faith. We either accept those or we

Conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch dropped a bombshell on Spygate Friday.

The Justice Department admitted in a court filing this week that the FISA court never held hearings on the FISA applications for former Trump advisor Carter Page.

One FISA warrant and three subsequent FISA renewals on Carter Page were obtained by Obama’s corrupt FBI in order to spy on Trump’s campaign.

‘[N]o such hearings were held with respect to the acknowledged FISA applications. Accordingly, no responsive hearing transcripts exist.’

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today announced that in response to a Judicial Watch Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, the Justice Department (DOJ) admitted in a court filing last night that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) spy warrant applications targeting Carter Page, a former Trump campaign part-time advisor who was the subject of four controversial FISA warrants.

In the filing the Justice Department finally revealed that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court held no hearings on the Page FISA spy warrants, first issued in 2016 and subsequently renewed three times:

[National Security Division] FOIA consulted [Office of Intelligence] … to identify and locate records responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] FOIA request…. [Office of Intelligence] determined … that there were no records, electronic or paper, responsive to [Judicial Watch’s] FOIA request with regard to Carter Page. [Office of Intelligence] further confirmed that the [Foreign Surveillance Court] considered the Page warrant applications based upon written submissions and did not hold any hearings.

President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton had this to say about the new developments:

“It is disturbing that the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance courts rubber-stamped the Carter Page spy warrants and held not one hearing on these extraordinary requests to spy on the Trump team. Perhaps the court can now hold hearings on how justice was corrupted by material omissions that Hillary Clinton’s campaign, the DNC, a conflicted Bruce Ohr, a compromised Christopher Steele, and anti-Trumper Peter Strzok were all behind the ‘intelligence’ used to persuade the courts to approve the FISA warrants that targeted the Trump team.”

In July, Judicial Watch obtained over 400 pages of heavily redacted Carter Page FISA documents.

Comey, Rosenstein, McCabe and Sally Yates all signed the FISA applications even though Hillary’s fraudulent Russia dossier was used as a pretext to obtain the warrants.

Obama’s Deep State DOJ and FBI withheld information about Hillary Clinton and the DNC being behind the information used to obtain the FISA warrant.

President Trump is reportedly moving to declassify the June 2017 FISA renewal which was signed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

Trump’s ace card is a declassification order on all Carter Page FISA docs and other documents related to the Russia witch hunt.

Mr. President, it is time to declassify all the Russia docs.
