I didn't think Springfield MO was too bad … that's the middle of the Ozarks! I do want some good rolling ground in the Midwest that isn't farm able but that could change if something happens to my mother or step father. Then I'd like to find something affordable and safe with clean water and enough dirt to work with somewhere in the USA with regular rainfall. I don't care for the east coast too much but I haven't been there much either.

My friend is near Mountain Home, AR and I've seen some good deals in the Fayar, AR area as well as Willow Springs, MO so that's why I haven't zeroed in on any particular area yet. Being near a community like Dancing Rabbit is also interesting but I haven't visited there either.

What areas are you referring to? Ohio/Indiana etc? I've heard that there's some good land and good people out there. I live 70 miles from the Missouri as the crow flies in Iowa. Plenty of rain here, but on the other side of the Missouri it's dry as a bone.
