I thought I was the only one, but for the last few months, I've only been sleeping an hour or two a night. Quick nap around noon-time, but otherwise, always awake.
I thought it was just the product of quitting my job and working from home, but I've been jobless before and never had this happen. Now I find out others are doing the same with no explanation. Seems perfectly natural.
Allright - from one Gnostic's point of view.

Adam isn't physical and neither are we. The name is derivative of Adamant/Adamantine, meaning incorruptible. The true man - which we all are under the skin.
The classic gnostic ideology that we are stuck in flesh prisons is raised, but the truth is, we aren't stuck anywhere. We do need these bodies to experience this existence, but the body dying does exactly nothing to who we really are.
This stuff you hear about the fallen angels and demons and such. They're no different than we are. Adamas / incorporeal man. They are the ones that are stuck, having been cut off from the cycle of rebirth for fucking around too much. They exist just as we do, only without bodies. If we were cut off from the cycle of rebirth, we would be the same. Remember where the word Demon comes from. It didn't used to imply evil - rather, disembodied consciousness.
There's a lot more, but I'm just waking up and needing coffee before i go any further.

"heaven" if you want to call it that, is our natural home. it's the living room we all go back to after we unplug (or are unplugged) from the game (aka, life). They've been locked out of the living room for the time being, and are thus stuck "outside". They can inhabit bodies, if invited, but the conditions have to be right.

Don't let the name throw you off. The word just means 'mind' or 'consciousness'. Standard humans fit the same definition, though we happen to still have our skin-suits.
