I don't think it's so literal.

It's a fertility symbol because rabbit fuck a lot

To be biological about it, they fuck a lot because they are small victims , herbivores, of larger predators. So if they don't reproduce a lot they will die out.

I'm not in the inner workings of their cult. It's possible there are many uses for the image/ motif?

Children like little cute animals.

So they turn the rabbit into an object of fear?

Likely slaughter the rabbit in front of the child?

or Use a cute stuffed bunny to entice the child? As pedos are known to do with candy?

I'm thinking it's just a generalized motif of Pedos?
