Been at this awhile, start small , make a backpack kit and build out from there, CLEAN water , ability to boil and filter is tops. / If you store food put in double bags and mouse / moth proof sealed clean 5 gallon buckets.

Flares are great for starting acampfire in DAMP conditions , but yea be wary of burnin' the wods down. Fire extinguishers are good to have as is a supply of wood & kindling , maybe a few duraflame logs to break up and aid starting your OUTDOOR firepit .
