Dan Brown's books claim that the technology described in his stories are based on existing tech.
Brown wrote "The DaVinci Code" – "Angels and Demons"
and in his book "Deception Point" (I believe it was that one, or "Inferno")
a SCIF was used.
Technology is always advancing, too.
It was a secured, sound-proofed room, that prevented any surveillance of any sort.

Mattis, Kelly, and others were looking at Kissinger directly.
There is a crewman in a white uniform that puzzles me – an aid? standing by for someone?
but – the crewman is also looking at Kissinger
the thought occurred to me like –
Kissinger was supposed to get the hint that he was being escorted out, and to not make a scene about it
(could be surmised from this scene, anyway)
Here they all were – in a church – and the waiting for it all to begin was mind-boggling
— on and on, people milling around
people greeting each other – or not –
and then just sitting and waiting forever and ever for something to happen
but – if I had been kissinger – it would have made me just a little queazy to be looked at by people without them smiling or talking to you
