Please reign in the mass surveillance. If it isn't done NOW, all freedom will soon be lost. The AI development is very rapid, and they will soon have the ability to not only watch everyone, but to MANAGE everyone as well.
A super intelligent AI will figure out how you tick through analyzing your digital trails with superhuman accuracy. Then it will feed you personalized information designed to carefully nudge you closer to where they want you. This will be so subtle it is entirely invisible, but horribly effective - people will have their views and opinions and behaviors slowly modified until they conform with the desired parameters. And this will be done through manipulation so clever no human can understand how it is done.
If you let this happen, freedom will be lost forever, and "democracy" will be even more of a cruel joke than it is today.
