Watching the last 10 minutes of "The Patriot", and as always, my eyes are watering.

There's a scene where Gen. Cornwallis is standing in the ruins of a building in Yorktown. His aide is begging him to order the surrender of British forces.

He's wearing a 100 yard stare, and says, "How could it come to this? An army of rabble. Peasants. Everything will change. Everything -has- changed."

The first Deplorables. We will never, ever give up.
