I had found this image interesting only because of the way that the map took you from Antartica to another location. Only because the immediate push back on this issue… did I look a little further. The white cross on Antartica is pointing in the direction of McMurdo Station (MM symbolism)

McMurdo is serviced seasonally by three airports:

Phoenix Airfield (ICAO: NZFX), a compacted snow runway which replaced Pegasus Field (ICAO: NZPG) in 2017

Sea Ice Runway (ICAO: NZIR), an annual runway constructed on the sea ice nearest McMurdo Station

Williams Field (ICAO: NZWD), a permanent snow runway

Both "Phoenix" and "William" are cult related names

There is a 1983 image of the USNS Southern Cross at McMurdo Station shows cargo operations on a floating ice pier. - SOUTHERN CROSS. Might be worth digging a little deeper. The fact that there is a White Cross that is only visible if you really zoom in on the map is odd… clicking on the human icon and then back on the map, launches the map to a new location. why?

I have no interest in this issue, other than 1) the fact that the pushback is so immediate 2) your "data artifact app converting to graphical representation" argument does not work. I am a designer… I see the lines where things are joined together. This is a cross, not artifacted in the least even on a tight zoom. Nothing else like it. Also there is nothing else that when you click on it, it takes you somewhere else. You are argument does not hold up to logic.

Not offeneded - the map started March 4.

As I see people from countries self identify, I like to add them. I am here every day, and if I see them I see them. and when people see the map and they want to be added, if they add something form their countries like text in their language I may add them. The latest "I live in Israel, give me 2 Qs…." I dunno about that.

I may start adding the states for US Anons as people mention them. Really just a personal project and some people enjoying seeing it…. it's like meme-ing… different people like to see different things. At a certain point, may try to add numbers.

I live in NY and did a similar map of all of the counties that passed resolutions opposing the NY un-SAFE Act. Maps are usually motivational.
