Holy shit, a fucking grizzly was rooting through my trash.

I thought it was a person and got halfway to it before realizing it was a bear on it's hind legs.

Had to take a couple shots at it with my magnum to scare it off, it was growling and everything.

Holy shit, first time I've seen a bear in the wild and it was right out my back door!

I'm in SW AK, I'm not pulling your leg.

I've had some troubles lately with the natives coming on the property at night drunk and being super creepy, and they get worse after they get their fishing paychecks.

So I've been having to go outside everytime I hear a noise armed with a flashlight, some pepper spray and just in case my magnum.

Last night it sounded like one of them ran into my door with all there might.

This morning I saw that it was a dirty paw print. A god damn grizzly was knocking on my door at 3 am, but I didn't realize it until I saw it just now.

Thing was gigantic, like Kodiak gigantic.

I've been at this location 3 years and never had a problem. They're usually full of fish right now, and I'm very surprised that one was rooting through the trash since the salmon run was something like 3 times the normal size (my guess is the Fukushima radiation is causing them to spend less time out in the ocean)

If it comes back I'll grab a bigger gun.
