Tropical Storm Gordon no effecting southern Florida, expected to reach hurricane strength over the Gulf.

The reason I am reporting on this is Tropical Storms and Hurricanes tend to form farther away and tend to hit or edge by Cuba before landfall onto CONUS… this one formed right off the coast of Florida and became a Tropical Storm officially about 4 hours ago.
