Radioactive Fallout is not a biggie - just need some good quality air filtration in your bunker.
See areas like Hiroshima, Nagasaki, Chernobyl… stuff only takes couple of years to either decay or get washed in the ground. Without protection during the first years you will be fucked but a decent bunker will solve that.
A perfect remote place for a briefing room. Get your messages/orders and leave new for others.
