If the modern reflection of the people's church is to be restored/redeemed, it must shed the tainted hierarchical structure it has assumed. There was a severance of sorts many years ago, one which was previously defined here. I can't recall the name at the moment, but from what I can gather, such could be achieved by the likes of a return to the original idea of Christ.
In other words, the system that has been erected in spite of Christ's wishes was taken advantage of by the evil in this world. Should it be cleansed, his wish will be upheld. However, what we see today is a corrupted shell of what it was suppose to be.
I hate to do this to you, because I genuinely admire you and people like you - ones that strive for decent Christendom. But, brother, I'm begging you: widen your scope.
There's a man who lived in the eighteenth century by the name of Friedrich Schelling. He was a mastermind, a genuine scholar and an intellectual mammoth of a man. He wrote plenty of books throughout his lengthy authorship, but later in his life he gave quite prolific speeches - of which were compiled a few sets of writings which were compiled after his death. These writings are not to be overlooked. The first of which is rather eye-opening and it would be a mistake for you to pass up reading it: Critical-Historical Introduction To The Philosophy Of Mythology.
Once you read these works, you'll undoubtedly understand what I mean.
