Anon, this is less about making distance between Trump and Sessions and moar about garnering support for Sessions from the democrats. If the democrats and MSM come to Sessions defense against the brutal overbearing Trump, then how can they turn on a dime and flip the next week when Sessions (and Huber) drop the hammer?
It is about getting the MSM and democrats to go all in for Sessions against Trump. Then when the hammer drops the MSM and democrats are again looking like fools.
