UK anon fascinated by proceedings in Senate. Hope my US Qanon bros don't mind me offering an observation.

It is apparent that there is a tail wagging the dog situation - where the process takes precedence over the purpose. What has it come to when a Committee Chairman like Chuck Grassley (a man of experience and integrity) has to be advised at every turn by lawyers about whether or not the PROCESS has been adhered to to the last jot and tittle? How does any real work get done when hours and days and weeks are wasted on whether the PROCESS has been correctly adhered to?

It's a crazy, topsy-turvy world we live in.

We have purpose now serving process; justice serving legal technicalities; delivery of education serving a theory of education process. And it's the same all over western so-called "civilization," including the UK.

Hec, we've processed ourselves into a tin of effing SPAM: safely contained, homogenous and about as appealing and useful as a dead dog.

Until the US outlaws the unjust process of plea bargaining, its courts will remain a travesty of justice.

" Our entire criminal justice system has shifted far away from trials and juries and adjudication to a massive system of sentence bargaining that is heavily rigged against the accused citizen."

William Young, (then) Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, Massachusetts, U.S. v. Richard Green (2004)
