I have been wondering what returning the power to the people really meant, what it would look like. Sasse just laid it out for me and I WANT THAT GOVERNMENT!

>>2874381 I think I understand what it is supposed to be like and it was when Sasse talked about the 4th branch having the power and us having no where to go to correct anything. He said protests at any other location shows the dysfunction. If we really have the powers in the proper places, we have the power just as intended. Our legislative bodies need to have stricter over sight by us. We need a mechanism to hold them accountable if they lie on the campaign trail. Not wait for the next term. If they promise a position before election and vote against it after taking money for their campaign, they need to be charged with fraud and removed immediately.
