ANONS, A MESSAGE ABOUT NET SECURITY:

1) You should be using gnu/linux. 2) Don't use ISP provided routers. Put them in passthrough mode, and put a ubiquiti edgrouter, pfsense box, ipfire box, or your own box with good iptables/nftables/bpf rules. 3) Learn iptables/nftables/bpf. 4) Buy digitalocean/vultr other VPS boxen to bounce out of/into and vpn into to. 5) Do full disk encryption. 6) Learn how to use GPG and other modern encryption (Curve25519).

Much more. The point is being safe and taking care of yourself and those in your house takes a little work. Freedom isn't easy. Stop using windows. Stop using osx.

Phones are all fucked, do whatever in that arena, all or comped…

Also, run your own local DNS server. DNSmasq is ok. A full blown dns is better. DO NOT USE ISP PROVIDED DEFAULT DNS! Be careful using other third party dns.

Open-wrt or DD-wrt or tomato on top of standard bullshit bestbuy routers/wifi you buy. Don't trust default firmware.

Manjaro would be my suggestion. DO NOT TRUST UBUNTU! Debian is always a safe bet, and devuan is a good alternative if you hate systemd or think systemd was an NSA backdoor (which is possible/debatable) OpenSuse is also good.

If you want to learn, do a manual standard arch/slackware install 3-5 times. By the time you have you will understand the fundamentals needed.

I'll think about sharing some links.

Of course it is. All hardware is hackable. Perfect security is impossible. It's all about layers my friend. Also AMD has had less hardware based vulns lately. Power8/9/RISC for extra security.
