NY lottery used to have the week-by-week stats on payouts on their website. Gone now - general graphic. In the past, you could align the payouts for the year to year analysis and see which weeks were a better shot of winning.

Was there one day, hanging out on the balcony that looked out over the race track. There was a Red Cross truck parked by back door. No blood drive, no horse race…hmmm.

Seems the slot machines reset at intervals. They will seem to miss-spin, then if you were winning, it starts sucking up the money. Rarely is a re-set in your favor.
