FI auditfag here. Likely a Big Four firm. We know about the fuckery at places like PwC, E&Y, etc. They're VERY well-known to be crooked as fuck as the partners just do whatever the fuck they want.

ANYONE who works in accounting and finance KNOWS that they're corrupt as fuck. If PwC is FB's "independent" auditor then…they'll do whatever makes them the most money. Evading taxes, evading regulation. Should see the shit they come up with to evade and avoid tax and regulatory compliance. It's the worst kept secret. What was done to Arthur Andersen is NOTHING compared to what the government is gonna do to PwC when this is all said and done.
PwC to FB: "How much are you willing to pay us for an unqualified opinion?"
The PCAOB doesn't function as intended. All of that shit. GAAP/IFRS bastardization (which is now standard on uniform CPA exam), could keep going but you touched the major points. AA didn't even dissolve. And then there's KPMG. I know one of the (former AA) tax partners who was on the Enron engagement. He bragged about how he helped defraud investors, took millions home and was never investigated. It's fucking sickening and the regulators don't even do their jobs.
Posted above. I find it incredible. It isn't even in the 5th SFG's area of operation. And it isn't the type of mission they'd be tasked with in the first place. Something like this would be assigned to an SMU like CAG/ACE/Delta or DEVGRU/ST6.
Because they have to appear pro-privacy or they lose support from the American Criminal Liberties Union, other kool-aid drinking leftists who think people like Kamala give a shit about em.
