The "Russian collusion" case does NOT equal why Manafort's on trial. Manafort's on trial due to tax shit, and dirty other dirty dealings WAY before he worked for Trump. Understood?

Manafort is NOT a good guy. However, what he's going through, as a fall guy for not getting dirt on Trump, is going to cause him to flip. Manafort was a plant; plain and simple. Manafort failed to do what they needed him to do, and used him as an excuse to spy on Trump. The judge in Manafort's case is basically saying "This trial is different, do not try peddling your other investigation in this proceeding".
