I read this book a number of years ago and just remembered it after seeing Borneo. They created a harem of young American women for the prince. He used and abused them and then sent them home with a wad of cash. It was a very similar situation to what sounds like the deal with Rachel Chandler. So- more trafficking essentially and could be related to the rumor of CF relations in the small country.
