Had a pastor once that was a bit controversial. Not that he didn't have a lot of words of wisdom, his claim to fame where we lived was that he hated "depictions" of Jesus; paintings, etc. His reasoning? Nobody knows what he really looked like. If he was primarily concerned with getting the message to the Jews first (actual Jews back in the day), and he looked like them and conducted himself culturally similar, then does it make sense that he isn't some caucasoid rendition in a painting like attached?
