Masonic dinner is what’s called a “table lodge”. It’s a formal dinner that is a lot of fun. There are seven toasts throught the dinner to the United States, our troops, the state you’re in, your wives etc… generally these are very nice meals. Your guess is incorrect. I made my original comment that spurred the notable response, because of another anon freaking out at POTUS handoff photo during the NYT speech. Handshakes are done “in order to recognize each other in the dark as well as in the light”. It’s a method of recognition. It’s not something you do for a camera, and it doesn’t need to be done after you already know another brother to be a mason.
