That's why FRN have no place in the banks. You can invest $50K in gold/silver, anything higher you can invest in physical property. You can buy a nice income producing self storage unit in many parts of the country for less than $500K. You can also buy raw Iowa farmland for $10K an acre or less and that returns $300 an acre annually or a bit more.
People have no business holding FRN in my personal opinion.
