About the authors:
James M. (“Mel”) Rockefeller is an international businessman. He has been profiling those chronicled since the first in a series of financial frauds were perpetrated on him and his family in 1981. Mel is identified only as “John Doe” in the 2008 release, Guilt By Association—How Deception and Self-Deceit Took America to War. The Hidden Tax on Humanity is being published as a first-person narrative.
Jeff Gates is the author of Guilt By Association written in collaboration with Mr. Rockefeller. He previously published The Ownership Solution—Toward a Shared Capitalism for the 21st Century (1998) and Democracy at Risk—Rescuing Main Street from Wall Street (2000). Jeff served as counsel to the Senate Finance Committee, 1980-87, and has since advised lawmakers worldwide.
