I've been walking around town with my dog for the last couple mornings right about the time that kids arrive for school, walk across school grounds on a trail that goes all around town.
Many adults will wave, hardly any teenagers will wave.
Sad that everyone seems to be forgetting small town culture.

I am deaf myself and it is BLATANTLY OBVIOUS when it is devil horns vs ILY. You don't look all gooey when you're doing devil horns vs when you're doing ILY. Facial expressions, obvious background of the person who is doing it, clothing, relationships, etc. all come into play when you are doing sign language.
You CANNOT just go by the hand symbol. It's a complicated interplay of dynamics and there are MANY signs that can mean ten different things depending on what you look like when you're doing it.
THINK about it…. if you are talking to someone and they are saying ILY in a high pitched voice you know they're probably talking to a baby with a all smiley face….
So stop your stupid ass interpretation of sign language until you consider EVERYTHING in the picture!!!
