I agree with you. No plan survives contact with the enemy. Q needs to adjust, and he has, so I see continuing modifications as things evolve.
As for family, I have been lucky. My democrat wife got onboard with preping with food storage. Then I caught her watching Alex Jones. Reading my emergency essentials catalog. Stockpiling every damn thing we might need. Didn't say a word against getting a standby generator, or my EMP proofing it last year. She isn't getting obsessed with Q, but she doesn't shut me down when I update her.
Her family, I just avoid.
