The idea that clothing should have letters, words, insignia, logos, pictures, etc. on it is relatively recent. In the 1950s-1960s clothing was just clothing, and maybe the fabric had paisleys or stripes or plaid, and maybe the lines of the garment formed a shape, but other than pro sports, it wasn't until the 70s that we started covering our garments with markings and signs and logos and "identity proclamations" of the wearer.

History of costume is interesting.

Marking clothing with logos and words was a commercial act to distribute commercial messages more widely. Walking billboards that you get the walker to pay for. Then getting people to mark their bodies with slogans and text and pictures, prodominantly satanic images, is the latest. Advertise for satan! have it marked on your body! and then flaunt it in public with immodest clothing that reveals everything!

Youngfolks just do not realize how it looks to the generations that did not do this.
