Q's last post hit home for me. My child came home thursday and told me how angry he was because a kid refused to stand up for The Pledge of Alligience. I told him to ask the kid why he was being disrespectful. The next day it happened again. My child asked him about it and his response was, "because we bombed Syria." I remember the day, when regardless of our political beliefs, we ALWAYS stood with our right hand over our hearts and recited the pledge. The tradition and what it stands for is being disintegrated with every exception that is allowed. Heartbreaking.
