I don't agree that demoralized people, at least how I understand the word, to be less likely to see through the matrix.

Often the "demoralized" marginalized people are much better at that; in general. They have less ego to protect?

I do believe people are being messed up deliberately and that's it's a political issue.

Yet I wonder why the quote says they will never recover. That doesn't make sense.
