My family once had an asshole neighbor like that, we called him chickenman.

He accused our dog of killing a chicken.

Dog was inside house with family, and when outside it was on a leash chain, and we had fence)

they put our dog in a shelter, and charged us $100 a day while they kept him( and gave us choice either pay like 2,000 plus for time they kept him, put dog down, or they could adopt him out)

We had no choice , they adopted him out to another family who did not live near chickens.

 

Was utter bullshit.

 

Because after that his chickens kept getting attacked and killed( was a mountain lion)

then the fucker gave up, and no longer had chickens,

pissed us off, caused our family lots of grief.
