Does military power saves the world or destroys it?

Regarding all nations worldwide, have their military ever asked their people for their permission or agreement to build and have nuclearweapons&otherwmdweapons?

Who is it then, the people or the military who is given the power?

When you say for god & country, nice words, but explain…. Is god the creator and you the appointed patriotic killer(s)?

If you destroy what your god created, doesn't makes you the traitors against your god?
