this has been my opinion about NAFTA for a while. the canadian economy is being weaponized to attack the american economy. they are very interdependent, and when this NAFTA deal finally falls apart for good, it will be the straw that breaks the camels back. our economy cant take a hit like this. our housing bubble has been propped up for 2 years by low interest rates and bandaid legislation. inflation is through the roof and jobs are starting to leave the country at an increased rate than usual. in other words, canada is fucked, and our "leaders" dont care because their mandate is to hurt Trump, not serve canadians.
