Had to comment on this. Just spoke to a Dr friend of mine who now also specializes in addiction treatment. I told him how I don't recall there even being a conversation about opioid problems in the 90's as a kid. You never heard of kids or parents being hooked on "pills". He said it all started w/ Purdue and Oxy. Said the Reps used to come around and tell them that it wasn't addictive (not new info) and he said even back then he didn't believe them. Would refuse to deal with the Reps.
In more recent years they have been pushing that Tramadol isn't addictive. Said it's addictive as well bc it's also an opioid. Just a different chemistry and not as strong as Oxy.
So just a heads up that the same shit is still going on with Big Pharma trying to sell a lie and fuck over more people, while they make billions.
