There's more truth to this meme that meets the eye. We are all on "spaceship Earth". Only an elite few have ever left the surface, and no one has ever left for good.

We are all hurtling through space on a wet ball of mud and rock at 1,000 miles an hour. We had an asteroid, just a random space rock possibly the size of a football field pass over my house a little after 5am this morning, half the distance to the new moon.

We need to stick together, we're all stuck in the same phonebooth, some of us with nuclear weapons or worse.
