A fellow WordPress user drew my attention to an alternative version of Bob Mizers Character Analysis Symbols; something I was completely unaware of when writing the content of this essay. In comparing the two versions of the document (one intended for public consumption and the authorities, and the other for a more privileged clientele) it seems to suggest that Mizers supposedly ‘noble’ intentions were perhaps not so honorable. It also draws into question the seemingly mild-mannered sensibility of Mizer himself: perhaps the affable good-natured (sexless even) personality he portrayed was a something of a ruse – geared towards concealing the darker undertones of his operation.
