At least five people are injured' as gunman opens fire in Purple Haze nightclub in Memphis

Footage posted on Facebook shows the area on lockdown as police moved in

The shooting took place at the Purple Haze nightclub in downtown Memphis

Local media reported that four people have been injured in the mass shooting

At least five people have been injured as a gunman opened fire at a nightclub in Memphis in the early hours of Monday morning.

The shooting was said to have occurred at the Purple Haze nightclub in the downtown area of the city just before 4am.

Video posted online shows police putting the area on lockdown as they attempt to deal with the unfolding situation.

The footage, posted by local media outlet WREG on their Facebook page, shows cops cordoning off both ends of a street and fire engines moving in beyond the barrier.

Fox13 reports that 'at least five people' have been injured so far and at least four ambulances were called to the scene.

The Memphis Fire Department revealed they had taken four victims to the Regional One hospital, and another to the city's Methodist hospital.

The Purple Haze nightclub was the scene of a deadly shooting in March this year when a woman died as she and her boyfriend were shot at the club.

Toshia 'Choosey Parker' Addison, 41, died April 2 at the Regional Medical Center after being shot on March 18. Her boyfriend survived.

Parker was a peace activist who had worked as an anti-gun violence campaigner.

Two men, 27-year-old Alan Neal and 43-year-old Frank Tuggle, have been charged in connection to the shooting.

Apple bans the Infowars app from its store for 'objectionable content' following a crackdown on conspiracy theorist host Alex Jones which saw him kicked from Twitter, Facebook and Spotify

Apple had already removed podcasts recorded by Alex Jones from iTunes

It has now also taken down his Infowars app, which re-posted older recordings

It marks the latest in a cascading series of bans of Jones' content from big tech firms and social media platforms

Apple has banned the controversial Infowars app from its App Store following similar crackdowns on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Spotify.

The company said the app, which belongs to popular US conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, violated its rules against 'objectionable content'.

The move makes Apple the latest tech company or social media platform to take action against Jones, a right-wing talk-show host based in Austin, Texas.

Apple said the guidelines Jones violated bar 'defamatory, discriminatory, or mean-spirited content'.

This included 'commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, national/ethnic origin, or other targeted groups, particularly if the app is likely to humiliate, intimidate, or place a targeted individual or group in harm's way.'

Representatives for Jones could not immediately be reached for comment.

On Thursday, Twitter permanently banned Jones and his website from its platform and Periscope, saying that the accounts had violated its behaviour policies.

Jones had about 900,000 followers on Twitter and Infowars had about 430,000.

In a video posted on the Infowars website on Thursday, Jones said in response: 'I was taken down not because we lied but because we tell the truth and because we were popular.'

Last month, Twitter banned Jones and Infowars for seven days, citing tweets that it said violated the company's rules against abusive behavior, which state that a user may not engage in targeted harassment of someone or incite other people to do so.

Apple said at the time that the Infowars app remained in its store because it had not been found to be in violation of any content policies, although it had removed access to some podcasts by Jones.

A spokesperson said at the time the company 'does not tolerate hate speech, and we have clear guidelines that creators and developers must follow to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our users.'

i had thought about putting a black box covering her in the second picture.

But did not want to ruin the pic.

They are also artistically done, and she is proud of those pics, and has never hide them.

In fact in GQ story they say,

It appears the First Lady is rather proud of the images: the new White House website lists the cover shoot as one of her greatest achievements.

That helped me decide to post, without the black box.

And picture i was talking about being memed was the one with the gun, she looks like a james bond type figure.
